Why does Cwm Harry run a veggie-bag scheme?
The purpose of running our vegetable bag scheme is to provide good quality seasonal produce which has been grown locally. We hope that by buying locally people will come to appreciate the effort and skill which have gone into producing these crops. It also helps to grow the local food economy by encouraging more local growers to get involved – as this expands local food will become more available and its production more competitive.
What's in a Cwm Harry Veggie bag?
A typical bag will contain produce from several different sources: Llanmerewig, Upper Hall Farm, the Organic Fresh Food Company and Pont Farm, Bettws. It may also contain items from the Newtown allotment, Llandyssil and other sources according to the season. The bag scheme offers to become ‘trading post' for fair-traded products from all over the world.

We sell a range of bags to suit the needs of different households. For an additional charge customers can order eggs and fruit in season. There are plans to supply local beef, lamb, and cider. The cost of the bags includes delivery to your doorstep.
Very pleased with the vegetable bags I receive. I’m delighted to be able to purchase local produce – the eggs are splendid. The regular delivery means that I don’t have to go shopping, and don’t have to decide what to buy.
